Science is an ongoing process and today's scientists build on the knowledge and research of scientists working years, decades and centuries ago. The Royal Society archives contain a record of thousands of pictures, reports and objects from scientists across the centuries.

A day in the life...

Rupert Baker is the Library Manager at the Royal Society, and in this video he takes you on a journey deep into the basements of the Royal Society, where all the books, manuscripts and objects are kept. These are all things that have been given to the Society over its 350 year history, as well as records about what has happened at the Society over this time.

Take a trip with Rupert into the archives - what might you find?
